LINE SCAN LENSES

High-end line scan lenses are optimized for large line scan sensors, but can also be used with area scan sensors. Line scan lenses also known as linear array lens, can be understood as a lens used with line-scan camera. For coaxial inline illumination, these lenses are available with a beamsplitter for line scan sensors or with a window for area scan sensors. We offer an assorted range of lens solutions designed for large format high resolution line and area scan cameras used for glass, Web, TFT inspection and other applications which call for a high performance and low distortion lens.

Our models provide the optical performance that challenging large format applications demand supporting line image sensors from 2k to 12k with models compatible up to 90 mm wide and a pixel pitch of down to 5 μm. Image Circle from Ø28mm to Ø80mm, a variety of magnification, suitable for 4K7μ, 8K5μ, 8K7μ, 16K5μ, 16K3.5μ line scan cameras. With operating temperatures of -10° to +50 °C, they are suitable for demanding and harsh.

Industrial Line Scan Lenses can be connected to various mounts on different cameras via external adapters, like C-mount, M42, M58, M72, M90, and M95. The locking iris is adjustable from f/2.9 to f/22, while the V-Mount provides ease of adjustment and alignment. The V-mount/F-mount rounds off the lenses and makes them particularly interesting for image processing, especially for high-resolution or line scan applications.

Large Format and Line Scan Lenses

Mainly used with line scan cameras. Line scan cameras typically require a light receiving dimension between 35 and 80 mm. Recent high-pixel models also require a light receiving dimension around 80 mm. In many cases, lenses for normal 2D cameras (area sensor cameras) cannot be used.

This line scan lens can be used with two-dimensional cameras because it has a large area for receiving light. Stable resolution can be achieved by using light rays that have a small aberration in the middle of the lens. However, the lens itself is too heavy and large, so it is not suitable to mount on moving parts. Also, the lens mounting method for the varies between manufacturers, so it is important to select and confirm the type of camera mount that will be used.

Line Scan Fixed Focal Length Lenses

Each Line Scan Lens is optimized for a specific magnification ranging from 0.07x to 5.2x. These lenses are optimized for use with line scan cameras, which capture images one line at a time. They offer high-resolution imaging, compatibility with line illumination systems, telecentricity for accurate measurements, precise alignment capabilities, and robust construction. Line Scan Camera Lenses are essential for industrial imaging applications that require precise inspection, measurement or analysis of objects with high detail and accuracy.

With the increasing number of line scan and large format applications, we have become an industry standard for area scan applications. Line Scan Lenses provide the precise inspection and measurement in machine vision. We are happy to offer advice based on our many years of practical experience.

Applications Include:  Hand-held image scanners, full-page image scanners, film scanners, bar code scanners, OCR systems, digital photography, bill counters, film scanners, Endoscope Couplers, Fiber Scope Couplers, Diagnostic Camera Hand Pieces, And Medical X-Ray Scanning.
